🔐 How to Connect Your Wallet to Golden Pixiu

The “Connect Wallet” button in the header works for:

• 💻 Desktop / laptop (MetaMask browser extension)

• 📱 Mobile (MetaMask app + in-app browser)

Key behavior:

1. On desktop, MetaMask prompts are usually instant or very fast.

2. On mobile, when MetaMask is opened from the website button, it often needs a few seconds before the prompts show inside the app.

1. Check Your Setup

• Use Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Firefox.

• Install and unlock the MetaMask browser extension.

• Open: https://goldenpixiu.com



2. Click “Connect Wallet” in the Header

1. Click the “Connect Wallet” button at the top of the page.

2. On desktop, the MetaMask popup is usually immediate.

3. If you don’t see it, check:

   • The MetaMask icon in your browser toolbar.

   • Whether the popup is behind another window.
     
     

3. Approve the MetaMask Prompts

You'll usually  see two steps:

1. Connection / Permission

   • MetaMask asks to connect the site to your wallet.

   • Choose your account → click Next → Connect.

2. Sign Message

   • MetaMask then shows a signature request.

   • This is an off-chain sign-in message (no gas).

   • Click Sign to complete login.

If you allow connection but cancel the signature, login will fail.

4. Confirm You’re Logged In

• The page may reload automatically.

• The “Connect Wallet” button should now display a shortened version of your address.

• You’re connected and ready to use Golden Pixiu.

If something feels off:

• Open MetaMask → Connected sites → remove goldenpixiu.com.

• Then try again:

  • Click “Connect Wallet”

  • Approve Connect

  • Approve Sign

B. Mobile — Using MetaMask App via “Connect Wallet” Button

On mobile, you still use the “Connect Wallet” button on the website. The big difference is:

The site must run inside the MetaMask in-app browser, and when MetaMask first opens from the website, the prompts can take a few seconds to appear.

1. Start on the Website

1. Open your normal mobile browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.).

2. Go to: https://goldenpixiu.com

3. Let the page fully load.
   
   

2. Tap “Connect Wallet”

1. Tap the “Connect Wallet” button in the header.

2. Your phone should prompt you to open MetaMask.

3. Confirm and switch to the MetaMask app.

This step moves you from a normal browser into MetaMask, which is what we want.

3. Let MetaMask Open the Site in Its In-App Browser

After MetaMask opens:

• MetaMask loads https://goldenpixiu.com inside its built-in browser.

• You’ll see the Golden Pixiu site again, but now inside MetaMask, not in Chrome/Safari.

⚠️ Important for mobile users:  When MetaMask has just been opened from the website, it often needs a couple of seconds before showing any connect/sign prompts.

Don’t panic-tap or back out — give MetaMask a moment to catch up.

4. Tap “Connect Wallet” Inside MetaMask & Wait for Prompts

1. Now inside the MetaMask browser, tap “Connect Wallet” again.

2. After tapping, wait a bit — especially the first time:

   • 1–3 seconds is normal for MetaMask to show its prompts after being opened.

3. Don’t keep tapping; let MetaMask bring up the dialogs.

You’ll see the same two steps:

1. Permission / Connect

   • MetaMask asks you to connect the site.

   • Choose your account → Connect.

2. Signature

   • MetaMask shows a sign-in message.

   • Tap Sign to complete login.
     
     

5. Confirm You’re Logged In (Mobile)

• The page may reload inside the MetaMask browser.

• The header “Connect Wallet” button should change to your shortened wallet address.

• At this point, you’re fully connected on mobile.

C. Using the “Connect Wallet” Button — Summary for Users

• ✅ Desktop users

  • Use a supported browser with the MetaMask extension.

  • Click “Connect Wallet”, approve connection, then sign.

  • Prompts are usually fast with little to no delay.
    
    

• ✅ Mobile users

  • Start on https://goldenpixiu.com in your normal browser.

  • Tap “Connect Wallet” → accept the redirect into the MetaMask app.

  • Once inside MetaMask’s in-app browser, tap “Connect Wallet” again.

  • Wait a few seconds for MetaMask prompts to appear (this delay is normal right after opening the app).

  • Approve Connect, then Sign.

D. Troubleshooting & Reset Tips

❓ “I don’t see any prompts on mobile.”

• Make sure you’re inside the MetaMask in-app browser, not Chrome/Safari.

• After tapping “Connect Wallet” inside MetaMask, wait a few seconds for the dialogs to appear.

❓ “It says login failed once, then works after reload.”

• The very first time, permissions and signature timing can be slightly out of sync.

• Let the page reload, then tap “Connect Wallet” again inside MetaMask and complete both prompts.

❓ “It keeps looping or feels stuck.”

• In MetaMask, remove the connected site:

  • Desktop: MetaMask → three dots → Connected sites → remove goldenpixiu.com.

  • Mobile: Settings → Security & Privacy → Connected Sites → remove goldenpixiu.com.

• Then start over:

  • Open https://goldenpixiu.com

  • Press “Connect Wallet”

  • Let it open MetaMask

  • Inside MetaMask browser, tap “Connect Wallet” again

  • Approve Connect → approve Sign

  •
