Most people should choose Create 12-word wallet. That gives you a recovery phrase plus the wallet keys. Create random wallet is more advanced because it gives you a private-key-only wallet.

Back up before using funds

Back up your 12 words or private key first. Encrypted backup JSON is a safer extra phone backup, but it should be the extra layer, not your only backup plan.

Current Recommended Version: Aurium Wallet Version 5.0.6

This is the current recommended release candidate. It keeps the latest swap reliability upgrades and adds wallet-direct fallback routing so eligible swaps are no longer fully dependent on the Aurium route host responding perfectly every time.

Status: Current recommended version.

Improvements

  • Fixed the quote loop where the wallet could repeatedly show: “Route host took too long. Refresh quote again.”
  • Market swaps now briefly try the Aurium host first, then fall back to wallet-direct routing if the host is slow.
  • Direct fallback now happens before the quote watchdog blocks the user.
  • Keeps wallet-direct swap execution.
  • Keeps deferred Sparks, loyalty, and accounting sync for when the host becomes available again.

  • Host files untouched.
  • Fee math untouched.
  • Direct/in-house policy untouched.
  • USD1 untouched.
  • SOL ↔ AURI core route untouched.
  • Existing AURI → USDT final-leg protections preserved.

Version 5.0.5

Status: Superseded by Version 5.0.6.

Improvements

  • Added the missing wallet-direct execution path for host-bypass swaps.
  • Direct route transactions can be signed locally by the wallet.
  • Raw transactions can be sent through wallet RPC without depending on host relay.
  • Confirmation and balance-proof checks still run after sending.

Reason Superseded

Quote flow could still wait too long on the host before fallback, causing the quote timeout loop fixed in Version 5.0.6.

Version 5.0.4

Status: Superseded by Version 5.0.5 and Version 5.0.6.

Improvements

  • Added the first version of host-bypass routing.
  • If host quote/build failed or timed out, eligible wallet-paid Best Market Rate swaps could fall back to direct wallet routing.
  • Added local deferred sync for Sparks, loyalty, and accounting metadata.

Reason Superseded

Direct quote/build existed, but execution still depended too much on the normal host-based swap path. Version 5.0.5 completed the direct execution path.

Version 5.0.3

Status: Stable foundation, superseded by Version 5.0.6.

Improvements

  • Fixed quote requests that could hang indefinitely.
  • Added full request timeout handling, including stalled response-body reads.
  • Added quote watchdog recovery so the UI releases buttons instead of sitting forever.
  • Added fallback behavior for timeout, bad JSON, failed host response, or stalled quote calls.

Impact

Improved quote reliability. Did not remove host dependency by itself.

Version 5.0.2

Status: Prior locked stable baseline before host-bypass work.

Improvements

  • Improved AURI → USDT final-leg reliability.
  • Properly handles cases where AURI → SOL succeeds, but the final SOL/WSOL → USDT leg sees Android/RPC propagation delay.
  • Soft-passes AccountNotFound-only WSOL propagation lag instead of falsely dead-ending the swap.
  • Tries existing WSOL completion before native SOL unwrap fallback.
  • Waits longer for recovered SOL visibility before reporting failure.

Impact

Reduced cases where AURI → USDT reached SOL and then stalled or failed during the second leg.

Version 5.0.1

Status: Superseded by Version 5.0.2.

Improvements

  • Added stronger final-leg checks for AURI → USDT.
  • Required a fresh final route and live simulation before signing final SOL/WSOL → USDT.
  • Treated final-leg route drift as retryable instead of hard-failing.
  • Added landing and balance-proof confirmation guard for AURI → USDT.
  • Added one rebuild path for SOL → AURI prepared setup if the route moved.

Needed better handling for propagation lag after bridge funds became available, added in Version 5.0.2.

Status: Superseded by later Version 5 updates.

  • Made AURI → USDT final leg fresher before signing.
  • Treated the final-leg probe as health-only.
  • Pulled a fresh final execution order immediately before signing.
  • Increased final AURI → USDT completion room to improve landing reliability.

Improved speed and freshness, but still had occasional confirmation/progression quirks and final-leg propagation issues.

The wallet still uses the Aurium host when it is healthy, but if the host lags, stalls, or fails, eligible wallet-paid market swaps can continue directly through the wallet instead of freezing.
